More training for media personnel before the end of 2014 is planned by the Media Industry Development Authority of Fiji (MIDA).
Director MIDA Matai Akauola says that following the success of the Constitution and Election workshops the focus is now on conducting a workshop for Media and the Parliament.
"Most in the media industry today were not around when we had a parliament, way back in 2006.
"Most people do not realise that the media landscape has changed a lot since December 2006," Akauola said.
MIDA hopes to conduct the training for media to understand the processes of a parliamentarians.
MIDA is mindful that under the new 2013 Constitution the country now has a new set up whereby the Constitution and not Parliament is supreme.
